Neighbours and Crabs

Saturday night we went to our next door neighbours house for a sausage sizzle. They also invited a family that lives across the street. The couple next door is probably in their 50s with grown kids and a few grandkids. The family across the street has two kids around 7 and 5. The daughter loved Karis and played with her the whole time. Even the son played with her too. Karis loved having the constant attention and held their hands to take them where she wanted to go. A sausage sizzle is grilling hot dogs but they call their hot dogs, sausage. Sausage here isn't processed like back in the US. They are made fresh and still linked together.

Sunday, we skipped church and went down to Mandurah to the Crab festival. Mandurah is on the coast and has small "fingers" of land and water. A really cool concept that they have made into a neighborhood. These houses have a normal front yard with water in their backyard where you can park your boat.

The festival had a carnival, water skiing competition, dirt bike stunts, booths, and of course crabs. Mike ate some from a Cajun booth and loved it. He also got some boiled crabs but said they were bland.
